My name is Morteza Dianatfar. Currently, I'm living in Tampere, Finland. I moved here to continue my graduate studies. My background study as undergraduate was in Mechanical Engineering. As well as, the joyment times in bachelor studies which I believe most of us experience that period of life, engineering design was my best interest in the studies. Practical engineering design has always been my motivation to learn new things everyday and it is still continues. Then, as all of us moving into these world of automation and technology, I got motivated to continue my graduate studies in Automation Engineering. At 2015, I applied to Tampere University (at that time being Tampere University of Technology) and happily accepted in automation engineering master studies.
For me personally, moving to another country was a challenge at first. Basically there is a new culture, new environment with different weather (nordic winter!!!), new people and mindset , and list goes on. I think that there is where international universities step in, finding new friends and local persons who willingly guide you through their culture and involve you in experiences that were new for you. I would not ever forget couple months in the beginning meeting people with different nationalities from different continents. I don't know how to explain the experience, maybe it is just because I came from another continent and everything were exciting for me. Here something maybe any of you want to ask?? Yes, I was lucky in the first winter to saw northern lights right upon the university yard.
I would describe myself as a person who has a big interest in technology and keen on learn new things often. My beloved hobby or I could say more often professional is sports. I think I experienced with different genres of sports from gymnastic to karate and Ju-jitsu, from skateboard and parkour to basketball. Maybe my self-confident in sports comes from martial arts but I believe it is developed while practicing everyday with street ball (more I enjoy to call it AND1). I faced a lot of injuries but I keep it strong to continue. Then, I found bodybuilding as a new home for developing the art of self-motivation and building stronger character. And, definitely none of those could move forward without music. I consider myself as a metal genre music fan, but it should be as loud as possible. I chill nowadays at home by watching movies and documentaries, or if time suits better option is always to have a company with friends at coffee shop or restaurant.
Currently, I am working as a doctoral researcher at Automation Technology and Mechanical Engineering department at Tampere University. My skills are more focused on simulations and CAD. As a robotic simulation engineer, mostly I develop new robotic scenarios in our Human-Robot Collaboration(HRC) pilot line, proposal of possibilities of robotics work cell, well mostly at small scale. Specifically, I working at safety aspect of HRC work cell. Well, if I want to tell it in a sentence I will describe it like this: " when robot and human are operating in shared workspace, there should be safety of operator satisfied otherwise system should not run." This was initiated when I took my minor studies in industrial robotics and got familiar with the world of Collaborative Robotics. Now, as topic of my doctoral studies I am working on providing safety visualisation for operator during training and later in dynamic environment of assembly. I am developing this concept with integrating of Virtual Reality and Extended Reality technology with game engines.
Another part of my work is teaching in the university. The topics of my teaching are virtual commissioning of robotics system, collaborative robotics practices, Robotic programming and mentoring students in robotics project work.
